The compulsory surcharge (incl. seat reservation) must be booked for all passengers and amounts to CHF 24 per person, regardless of the route.

In addition to the obligatory surcharge (incl. seat reservation), a valid 1st class ticket is required for the route travelled.

The Interrail/Eurail Pass is a rail ticket valid throughout Europe. The pass is not valid on the boat route.

On the Arth-Goldau/Flüelen – Bellinzona/Lugano railway line, the pass must be valid in 1st class. If the Interrail/Eurail Pass is valid in 2nd class, a class upgrade must be purchased. The seat reservation and any necessary class upgrade can be purchased in the shop.

On the Lucerne – Flüelen boat route, a ticket must be purchased from the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company. The Lake Lucerne Navigation Company grants a 50% discount to holders of an Interrail/Eurail Pass. In this case, tickets for the boat trip can be purchased directly from the boat staff during the journey.

Prices for boat trips with discount (Interrail/Eurail):

• Boat route with Interrail/Eurail 1st class: CHF 41.00

• Boat route with Interrail/Eurail 2nd class: CHF 55.50 (incl. class upgrade)
