Included services:
The following services are included in the cab-view ride:
- Journey in the engine driver’s cab with an expert guide on the Re 420 locomotive at the front of the Gotthard Panorama Express.
- Companion to introduce you to the world of rail during the journey, explaining the technology in the engine driver's cab and pointing out highlights along the route.
- Written route description with signalling explanations.
Travel to and from the cab-view ride is not included.
Dates and times:
Cab-view rides will be offered on Fridays from 14 June 2024 to 18 October 2024:
- Start in Arth-Goldau at 1pm, arrive in Lugano at around 4.45pm.
Important information:
- Spaces subject to availability. Due to the limited space in the locomotive, the cab-view ride can only be booked for one person.
- Good physical condition and good health are needed for the cab-view ride. You must be able to climb up into the locomotive yourself.
- The locomotive is not wheelchair accessible.
- The minimum age is 16 years.
- The offer is available in German, Italian and English.
