Cab-view ride Gotthard Panorama Express

Experience the Gotthard Panorama Express in a completely different way: live your dream or surprise someone special with a cab-view ride. In the engine driver’s cab of the Re 420, which pulls the Gotthard Panorama Express, you’ll travel from Arth-Goldau through the breathtaking Gotthard massif to Lugano or vice versa.
The following services are included in the cab-view ride:
Journey in the engine driver’s cab with an expert guide on the Re 420 locomotive at the front of the Gotthard Panorama Express.
Companion to introduce you to the world of rail during the journey, explaining the technology in the engine driver's cab and pointing out highlights along the route.
Written route description with signalling explanations.
Travel to and from the cab-view ride is not included.
Cab-view rides will be offered in both directions on Fridays from 14 June 2024 to 18 October 2024:
Start in Lugano at 9am, arrive in Arth-Goldau at around midday.
Start in Arth-Goldau at 1pm, arrive in Lugano at around 4.45pm. This trip is sold out until the end of the season.
Important information:
Spaces subject to availability. Due to the limited space in the locomotive, the cab-view ride can only be booked for one person.
Good physical condition and good health are needed for the cab-view ride. You must be able to climb up into the locomotive yourself. The locomotive is not wheelchair accessible.
The minimum age is 16 years.
The offer is available in German, Italian and English.
